Anu Jain is an entrepreneur and philanthropist driven to make a positive impact in the world. She is passionate about empowering girls and women and health and wellness.
Anu is the Vice President of Community Relations at Viome, a company focused on disrupting healthcare with the goal of making chronic illness elective by identifying microbial biomarkers that are predictive of chronic diseases and adjusting the functional microbial imbalance through personalized nutrition.
She is the Founder of the Anu and Naveen Jain Women Safety XPrize and CEO of the Anu and Naveen Jain Family Foundation. She is also the Co-Founder of InfoSpace and Co-Founder of The Billion Dollar Fund for Women, a global consortium of funds focused on raising awareness and money to invest in women founded companies.
Anu launched a $1 million XPrize competition to incentivize innovators to design a technology-based solution that sets a new safety standard for women and awarded the winner at the United Nations in June 2018.
Anu sits on several boards including the University of California San Diego Health and is on their Science, Technology and Global initiatives committee. She is also on the advisory council for Girl Up of the United Nations Foundation, a board trustee of the X-Prize Foundation focused on using exponential technologies to solve global problems. Anu is also a member of Women Moving Millions and on the Board of Bellevue Lifespring and the PACE Arts Center in Bellevue WA.
Anu holds a BA in business administration and economics from SUNY, Stony Brook, NY, and an MBA from Rutgers University in New Jersey. She lives with her husband in Medina WA and has three adult children all who are entrerueurs focused on making a positive impact. Anu enjoys yoga and meditation.
