Hi! My name is Emma Knoll, and I am 15 years old. I have lived in Washington, D.C. my whole life, and I am a sophomore at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School.
In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, lacrosse, and ice hockey. I am also passionate about traveling, photography and serving my community.
Since I was 10 years old, I have been involved with a program called Girls Up. Girls Up teaches girls to use their voice and helps them to figure out who they really are before society tells them. Each year, I not only help with marketing and fundraising for Girls Up, but I also help run the program and educate the girls.
Through Girls Up, I learned about Girl Up and immediately knew that this was something I wanted to be a part of.
I have always dreamed that one day this world will be a safe and happy place for girls everywhere, and I hope to help make this dream come true by working with Girl Up. I plan to create as much awareness as I can for girls facing problems in developing countries, and most importantly, I want to stop these problems for good.
